An incredibly delicious chocolate-banana oat cake with no flour or sugar – filling, healthy, and low-calorie! Bananas provide natural sweetness, nuts add crunch, cocoa gives aroma.
Recipe for cooking and ingredients:
• 1⅓ cups rolled oats (130 g / 4.6 oz) → grind into flour
• ¼ cup milk (60 ml)
• 3 tbsp yogurt or sour cream
• 1 egg
• 2 ripe bananas → mash into purée
• ½ cup walnuts (50 g / 1.8 oz) – chop
• 1½ tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
• ½ tsp salt (optional)
For the fragrant tea:
• 2 small lemon slices
• 7 slices dried plum
• 1 tsp thyme
• 2 tbsp large-leaf black tea
• Boiling water (steep 4–6 minutes)
Pan:
• Greased with oil + parchment on the bottom
Baking:
• 180°C (360°F) — 40 minutes
Instructions
1. Grind oats in a coffee grinder or blender.
2. Mix oat flour + cocoa + salt (optional) + baking powder.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk egg + milk + yogurt + mashed bananas.
4. Combine dry and wet mixtures, add chopped walnuts.
5. Pour batter into the pan, top with extra walnuts if desired.
6. Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes (toothpick test).
7. Tea:
o Add lemon + dried plum + thyme + black tea to a teapot.
o Pour boiling water and steep 4–6 minutes.
8. Serve:
o Our healthy cake is ready!
